Arab Finance: Company announced Fawry for Banking and Electronic Payments Technology (FWRY)announced the launch of its new medical insurance product, “Your Health Fawry,” as part of its ongoing strategy to expand its financial services portfolio. This product was developed in collaboration with GIG Insurance, and is a fully digital product available through the “My Fawry” application and the “My Fawry” prepaid card.
The new product provides a range of health coverage options for individuals and families, including inpatient coverage up to EGP 25,000, free telehealth consultations, and discounted services from a wide network of healthcare providers.
The launch of the “Your Health Fawry” product through Fawry Insurance Brokerage Company, a subsidiary of Fawry, comes after the company’s success in issuing more than 700,000 digital insurance policies, covering different types of insurance.
Fawry’s partnership with GIG Insurance Company guarantees comprehensive coverage for medical operations in all hospitals in Egypt up to 25,000 Egyptian pounds, which allows obtaining discounts from major medical service providers such as the tower and laboratory radiology centers and laboratories affiliated with the Integrated Diagnostic Holding Company, Nile Radiology and Analysis Laboratories, and Al-Shams, Dawi Clinics, and City Clinics, in addition to outpatient services in 30 hospitals, “Shifa” Company for pharmacies and “Al-Tibbi” for remote medical services.
Users can easily subscribe to the service via the “My Fawry” application, and choose between two individual plans or a family plan. The My Fawry prepaid card acts as a customer identification and eligibility verification tool, giving them access to the full range of benefits available at participating healthcare providers.
By adding medical insurance to its diverse range of services, which already includes payments, “buy now, pay later” service, savings, and an Fawry emergency policy, the “My Fawry” prepaid card becomes the first integrated solution in Egypt that combines lending, payments, and savings. and insurance, which strengthens Fawry’s role as a pioneer in the field of blended finance and financial inclusion.
