Personal Correspondent: Former Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Atiqul Islam has been arrested.
The police arrested him from Mohakhali DOHS area of the capital on Wednesday (October 16) night.
DMP's Media and Public Relations Department Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said that the former mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Mohammad Atiqul Islam was arrested from the DOHS area of the capital.
Incidentally, on August 18, Khan Atiqul Islam went to the head office of Dhaka North City Corporation and was chased by the public. At that time he escaped through the back stairs of the city building.
Then on August 19, the government removed the mayors of 12 city corporations including DNCC mayor Atiqul Islam.
