This veteran, who often gives statements regarding Pakistan Cricket Board, has said something this time which is sure to create an uproar in Pakistan. In a special conversation with News 18, he exposed a secret due to which the condition of Pakistan cricket is becoming miserable. He believes that if there is any weakest neighboring team of India then it is Pakistan. The situation in Pakistan is so bad that India's Under 19 team can defeat them.
In an exclusive conversation with News 18, Danish Kaneria said that the reason behind Pakistan's poor performance is the constantly changing coaches and bad thinking of PCB. Mickey Arthur was the head coach of the team from 2016 to 2019. Under Arthur's supervision, Pakistan won the Champions Trophy but the PCB did not extend his contract. Misbah was the coach of the team from 2019 to 21 and during this period Pakistan played 16 Tests and won 7.
Danish further told in the conversation that when he was in the team and Bob Woolmer was the coach, he used to devote all his time to Pakistan's domestic cricket. This was the reason why the team kept getting more and more match winning players, today Gillespie goes back to Australia after the series. It is clear that the coach does not even know the ABCD about the player he selects. This is the reason why Pakistan lacks good players today.

From 2021 to 23, Saqlain Mushtaq was in charge of the team. The team performed well in the quick format but the team's performance in Tests was average. In 2023, Grant Bradburn was added to the team with great expectations but soon the team abandoned him. In 2024, Jason Gillespie of Australia became the head coach of the team but he too could not improve Pakistan.

Praising India and BCCI, Kaneria said, 'The last foreign coach of the Indian team was Danka Fletcher. Fletcher's tenure ended in 2015 and then the board decided that he would continue with a local coach. This decision helped a lot in raising the graph of Indian cricket, whereas Pakistan is not able to give up the attraction of foreign coaches. The result is in front of all of us. PCB gets commission for bringing foreign coaches. The coaches who come are like tourists, they stay during the series and then return.
The Indian team had given the responsibility of interim coach to Sanjay Bangar in the year 2016. Anil Kumble became the coach of the team from 2016 to 2017 and after losing in the final of the Champions Trophy, Kumble resigned. Ravi Shastri was the team director from 2017 to 2021 and the Indian team then touched the sky in all three formats. From 2021 to 2024, Rahul Dravid and now the head catch of the team is in the hands of Gautam Gambhir.
From 2016 till now, both teams Pakistan and India have changed 5 coaches each, but the result was completely in favor of India.
