With the release of the schedule of by-elections to be held on 10 assembly seats of the state, the stir has intensified among all the political parties jumping into the electoral battle. However, even before the election notification was issued, BJP, SP and BSP had started their respective preparations, while Congress seems to be standing at a crossroads due to confusion over the distribution of seats in the India alliance. By-elections have been announced for nine out of 10 assembly seats in UP. By-election will not be held on Milkipur seat of Ayodhya district right now. Voting for by-elections on nine seats will take place on November 13 while counting of votes will take place on November 23.
