The Minister explained, in his meeting with Anna-Claudia Rosbach, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, that “blended financing” enhances the role of the private sector in achieving comprehensive urban development, noting that the “United Nations Human Settlements Program” plays A prominent role in integrated and sustainable civilizational expansion at the regional level.

The Minister pointed out that providing the required funding ensures achieving the goals of sustainable urban development, which is necessary to provide job opportunities and improve the lives of citizens, find solutions to the challenges that may face the development process, and move forward towards fulfilling the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

Anna Claudia Rosbach, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, said that Egypt is making great efforts to organize the “World Urban Forum,” noting that the event receives all kinds of support and assistance from the Egyptian government, and that work is being done to develop a sustainable system.
