Egypt and Saudi Arabia sign an agreement to encourage and protect mutual investments between the two countries

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received, today at Cairo International Airport, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Prime Minister, who is a dear guest in his second homeland, Egypt.

The President accompanied Egypt's distinguished guest to the Ittihadiya Palace, where the official reception ceremony was held.

The discussions covered regional developments, most notably the situation in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, where there was agreement on the seriousness of the regional situation and the necessity of stopping the escalation. The two leaders stressed that the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy, is the only way to achieve calm, peace and security in the region in a manner Sustainable, noting that attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue would cause the continuation of the state of conflict in the region, and in that context, the two leaders called for the initiation of steps for calm, including a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and in Lebanon, addressing the worsening humanitarian conditions, and stopping the policies of brinkmanship in order to stop the cycle. The expanding conflict, and the need to respect the sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity of Lebanon was also affirmed. The two leaders also discussed a number of regional issues, most notably the security of the Red Sea region, and the situation in Sudan, Libya and Syria.

At the end of the discussions, the two leaders witnessed the signing of the formation of the Egyptian-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council headed by the President and the Saudi Crown Prince, andAgreement on the encouragement and protection of mutual investments Between the two countries.
