There is a need to take the allegations of Trudeau government seriously, now America also jumped into the India-Canada dispute.

The diplomatic row between India and Canada over the killing of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar deepened on Tuesday. While Canada hinted at possible sanctions against India, India rejected Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's allegations. Now America has also jumped into this whole controversy. US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller described Canada's allegations as serious and said India should cooperate with Canada in its investigation.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters, “As far as Canada's allegations are concerned, we have made it clear that the allegations are extremely serious and need to be taken seriously. We want the Indian government to take action against Canada.” Please cooperate in its investigation.” He further said, “India has chosen an alternative path in this issue.”

It is noteworthy that after Canada's serious allegations regarding the Hardeep Singh Nijjar murder case, India on Monday ordered the Canadian ambassadors to leave the country by October 19. It also rejected Canada's allegations of linking its diplomat to the investigation of Nijjar's murder and announced the recall of its High Commissioner from there.

India strongly rejected attempts by Canadian authorities to link Indian agents to criminal gangs in Canada. Official sources have said that Canada's claim that it had shared evidence with India in the Nijjar case is not true. At the same time, amid increasing tension between the two countries, Canada's Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie said that there is a possibility of imposing sanctions against India and we have “all options under consideration”.
