New Delhi. After seeing the continuous poor performance of Pakistan cricket team in Test cricket, the selectors took strict action. Former team captain Babar Azam along with fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah were dropped from the Test series against England. The performance of these three was not good in the last home series. Shaheen Afridi's father-in-law, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, has supported the selectors on this decision.

Star batsman Babar Azam, fast bowler Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah, who were continuously flopping in the Test team, were dropped from the Test team in the name of giving them a break against England. Former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi has supported the decision of the selection committee in which Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah have been given a break. All three have been rested from the remaining matches of the home Test series against England. Pakistan team had a shameful defeat by an innings and 47 runs in the first test match played against England in Multan.
