Prohibitory orders have been imposed on movement of people at night within a radius of two kilometers from the international border with Pakistan in Samba, Jammu and Kashmir. Exercising powers under section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code (BNSS), Samba District Magistrate Rajesh Sharma has ordered that no person or group will move around in the area between 10 pm to 5 am.
It has been said in the order that in case of extreme necessity, people will have to show valid identity card in front of BSF or police. Legal action will be taken in case of violation. The order is effective immediately and will remain in force for the next 60 days, unless earlier withdrawn or cancelled.

So far 41 lakh pilgrims have visited Chardham Yatra
This season, the number of pilgrims coming to Uttarakhand on Chardham Yatra crossed the figure of 41 lakh on October 15. The Chardham Yatra Management and Control Organization said that so far this year, a total of 41,13081 pilgrims have visited the Chardham temples, which include Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
With the announcement of closure of Kedarnath and Yamunotri on November 3, Gangotri on November 2 and Badrinath on November 17, the Chardham Yatra has reached its final stage.
