Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said this. Nitin Gadkari gave this statement during talks with representatives of automobile industry organization SIAM on Tuesday.

Regarding this call of Nitin Gadkari, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH) gave this information on the social media platform X. Regarding ethanol and flex fuel, the ministry said that Gadkari has held a meeting to discuss the preparedness of the automobile industry for ethanol and flex fuel. This meeting was held at Parivahan Bhawan, in which representatives of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) held discussions.

It was discussed in the meeting how the industry is preparing to launch ethanol-powered vehicles in the coming months. He cited SIAM members' successful integration of flex fuels and biofuels in Brazil and asked them to consider ways to make them more acceptable among the public, the ministry said. In flex fuel vehicles, in addition to petrol, fuel containing a mixture of methanol or ethanol with petrol is used.
