Arab Finance: Within the framework of the general direction and state policy and the vision of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and partnership with African countries and to enhance the Egyptian presence by providing the necessary support and transferring Egyptian expertise in various fields, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and Younes Ali Gedi, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic Djibouti By signing a bilateral agreement and an executive contract between the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Djibouti regarding the Egyptian government supplying and installing an electricity generation station using photovoltaic cell systems with a capacity of 276.5 kilowatts, via video conference technology in the presence of Engineer Sabah Mashaly, Deputy Minister, and the Ambassador. Ahmed Ali Berri, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti in Cairo, and its permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Khaled El-Shazly, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Djibouti, Ambassador Osama Al-Hadi, representative of the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development, and Ambassador Mohamed Safwat, Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for African Affairs.

Dr. Mahmoud Esmat indicated the continuation of cooperation with the Djiboutian side in the fields of energy, especially renewable energies, in light of the global changes in this field, and that the agreement and contract that were signed today, as well as the training programs and provision of technical support, etc., are an expression of the partnership and the readiness of the electricity sector to meet the requirements and support development in Djibouti. Explaining the encouragement of the Egyptian private sector and opening the way for it to work within the Republic of Djibouti, Egypt is proud of its strong relations with the countries of the African continent and is well aware of the common challenges facing the continent, expressing Egypt’s constant keenness to work jointly with the countries of the African continent, especially sister Djibouti, in order to achieve ambitious plans. For stability, prosperity and sustainable development.
