Arab Finance – An Indian company is looking to establish a $60 million carbon factory


Arab Finance: Head of the Commercial Representation Service at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Yahya Al-Wathiq Billah, held a series of meetings with representatives of major Indian companies to discuss potential investments in the country, according to statement Issued by the device.

This is to discuss expansion possibilities for it to enter African markets and benefit from Egypt’s export potential to the markets of European, Arab and African countries, in addition to the United States market. The meeting also discussed the investment costs associated with obtaining land, energy and labor prices, in addition to the investment incentives offered, especially in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

In addition to meeting with one of the largest Indian companies producing carbon black to discuss importing rock phosphate from Egypt for use in producing carbon black, the possibilities of establishing a factory for the company in Egypt to produce this product were also discussed, to take advantage of the availability of raw materials, basic production factors, the investment incentives offered, and the export potential to most countries and blocs. Trade, with which Egypt has free trade agreements, and it was agreed to arrange a visit for the company’s delegation to Egypt to conduct field visits to the places where the factory could be established, which has an estimated investment cost of $60 million.

It was agreed to arrange for a company delegation to visit Egypt to hold a number of meetings in the government and the private sector to be able to complete the feasibility study for establishing an investment project in Egypt.

It is worth noting that the meetings discussed cooperation in several sectors, including cars, green hydrogen, furniture, and black carbon.
