Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has said that the alliance formed under the leadership of his party – Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will contest elections on all 81 assembly seats in the state. Expressing confidence in the election preparations, he said that the alliance will once again be successful in forming the government in the state. He said that today he participated in the JMM Central Committee meeting with all the workers and party executive committee members. After reviewing the election preparations, Hemant Soren said that unlike the state's opposition party – BJP, the JMM-led alliance does not rely only on making announcements. He claimed that the government has implemented many welfare schemes. It is noteworthy that assembly elections are possible in November-December this year. The assembly elections are likely to be announced soon as the term of the assembly ends on January 5, 2025.

A total of 29 decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting, crores of rupees approved for college-polytechnic.

In another important development, just before the assembly elections, the Jharkhand government approved funds for the construction of new colleges and polytechnics. Several proposals of the education department were approved, including the establishment of engineering colleges and polytechnics at a cost of Rs 530 crore. Government Polytechnic will be constructed at Chakulia, Jamshedpur at an estimated cost of Rs 134.18 crore. Apart from this, Government Polytechnic will also be constructed in Potka at a cost of Rs 136.13 crore. Government Engineering College will also be built in Jamshedpur at a cost of Rs 254.93 crore. According to the news, a total of 29 decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday. The government also approved the proposal to start schools on the lines of Netarhat Residential School in Kolhan Division, Santhal Pargana Division and North Chhotanagpur Division.
