Kotwali police station in-charge Mohammad Enamul Hasan told the newspaper that the local people tried to enter the market. For the safety of the market, we stopped them from entering there, which led to a clash. Hassan said that after failing to control the situation, the police informed the army, after which the troops reached the spot and dispersed the crowd. He said that the situation is now under control to a great extent.
