Dhaka: Former Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister and Awami League presidium member Muhammad Farooq Khan has been arrested.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) handed him over to the Intelligence Division (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) after his arrest on Monday (October 14) night.
DB Additional Commissioner Rezaul Karim Mallick said that RAB handed him over to DB police after his arrest.
According to sources, Farooq Khan was arrested from his cantonment house.
Farooq Khan is accused in several cases in connection with the casualties in the anti-discrimination student movement.
