MP News: A fire broke out in a three-storey building in the Karond area of the capital Bhopal at around 3 pm on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday. The family sleeping on the third floor got trapped in this fire. There was no way to get down, so the family members were brought down by tying a saree from the roof, in which 9 people including an elderly person and 5 children were rescued.
Let us tell you that there was a fire in a three-storey building in the housing colony of Karond. Manzoor Khan's warehouse is on the ground floor of this building, while families live on the upper floor. On the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday, suddenly smoke started coming out from the warehouse and a fire broke out. Within no time the fire reached the third floor. During this time people gathered nearby and the fire brigade was informed. Police also reached the spot.
After the fire, there was no way to reach the third floor, hence it was decided to do high rescue of the people trapped in the fire. Fire ladders were installed to go up about 30 feet. After this, the gym operator living next to the warehouse, Mohd. Razi safely pulled out the people trapped in the fire through saree from the roof.
Fire extinguished after two hours of effort
As soon as information about the arson was received, more than 10 fire engines and water tankers from Pul Bogda, Fatehgarh, Chhola and Gandhi reached the spot. The fire was brought under control after about two hours of effort. During this time, the electricity supply to the area was stopped, so that no accident occurs.
