Chinese army surrounded Taiwan, deployed fighter jets and navy ships; what is the plan

The Chinese army has surrounded Taiwan. Planes and ships have been deployed as part of the military drill. Beijing clearly stated that the purpose of this exercise is to give a strong warning to the separatist forces. It is known that China does not refuse to use force to bring Taiwan under its control. Monday's military drill is being described as the fourth attempt at large-scale war practice in the last two years. Taiwan's current President Lai Ching-te took office in May this year. He has been more vocal in defending Taiwan's sovereignty than his predecessor Tsai Ing-wen. Experts say that China is very angry with this, which calls them separatists.

Taiwan has also confirmed this latest military drill of China. These military exercises were termed as irrational and provocative by Taipei. Additionally, Taiwan has increased the deployment of its troops on the border in retaliation. AFP journalists gave more information about the Chinese military drill near Hsinchu Air Force Base in the north of Taiwan. He said that 6 fighter planes were seen flying on Monday. The matter of deployment of Navy ship has also come to light. This latest action by Beijing is likely to increase the tension further.

'Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory'

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning had recently given a big statement regarding Taiwan. He said that Taiwan President Lai Ching-te's statements will not stop China's unification. Ning said there should be no occupation or encroachment on Taiwan's sovereignty. There is only one China in the world. Taiwan is an inalienable part of the Chinese territory. The Government of the People's Republic of China is the sole legal government representing all of China. He said it doesn't matter what they say or do. Lai Ching-Te authorities cannot change the fact that both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to the same China.

Taiwan's history is like this

Taiwan celebrated its National Day last Thursday amidst threats from China. China has been claiming the self-governing island republic as its territory. The festival marks the founding of the Republic of China, which overthrew the Qing dynasty in 1911. After the civil war in 1949, Mao Zedong's communists took control of the mainland. Taiwan was under martial law until it adopted full democracy in the 1980s and 1990s, but retained the original constitution and flag of the Republic of China. President Lai Ching-te took office, continuing the 8-year rule of the Democratic Progressive Party. This party refuses to accept Taiwan as a part of China.
