Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif taking stock of the preparations for the summit.
Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit is going to be held in Pakistan on 15-16 October. A meeting of Pakistani officials was held on Sunday (13 October) regarding its preparations. According to the report, in this meeting a decision is being taken to close the capital Islamabad for the summit.
Actually, the government of Pakistan is worried about the violent demonstrations and political unrest by PTI workers. Shehbaz Sharif does not want the protests during the summit to worsen the security situation and tarnish the image of the country.
India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will also participate in this summit. Apart from him, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and heads of other countries will attend the summit.

Ban on protesting in the capital According to news agency AFP, due to the summit in Pakistan, protests have been banned in the capital Islamabad. Permission has been given for deployment of army in the city. Apart from this, supporters of opposition leader Imran Khan have been arrested.
Imtiaz Gul, Executive Director and Senior Analyst of the Center for Research and Security Studies, said that this summit is very important for Pakistan. Therefore, the government is making concrete arrangements for security. Efforts are being made to ensure that the program takes place peacefully without any untoward incident.
Last week, Imran Khan's party workers had demonstrated for his release.

Terrorist attacks increase concern before the summit Before the start of the summit, 2 terrorist attacks have taken place in Pakistan. This has raised questions regarding security arrangements. The first attack took place on 6 October near Karachi Airport. Two Chinese citizens were killed in this attack. On this, China demanded strict punishment to the criminals.
The second attack took place on October 11 on a private coal mine in Balochistan province. 20 people died in this. According to Pakistani media Dawn, the attackers used many modern weapons including rockets and hand grenades. ,
