Kullu Dussehra Festival 2024: International Kullu Dussehra started on Sunday in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, the land of Gods and Goddesses. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla inaugurated the week-long International Kullu Dussehra at Dhalpur Maidan. He also participated in the Rath Yatra of Lord Raghunath. Lord Raghunath boarded the chariot at around three in the afternoon. During this time, Lord Raghunath's stick bearer Maheshwar Singh and members of the royal family were also present.
About 300 deities including Goddess Hidimba, God Bijli Mahadev, God Adi Brahma, God Kartik Swami, God Nag Dhumal, God Veernath, God Bir Kela, Mata Gayatri, Mata Tripura Sundari, Mata Kali Odi participated in the Rath Yatra of Lord Raghunath. With the beginning of International Dussehra Festival, Dhalpur ground of Kallu echoed with slogans of 'Jai Raghunandan, Jai Siyaram'. There will be a lot of excitement in the Dhalpur ground of Kallu for the coming seven days. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla wished for the prosperity of the state. He said that the people of the state are fortunate that Lord Raghunath resides in the holy land of Kullu. Lord Raghunath has a deep connection with Kullu.
International Kullu Dussehra begins with Rath Yatra
May the blessings of Lord Raghunath always remain on the people of the state. He said that Dussehra festival is also important from tourism point of view. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla expressed hope that the festival will inspire to strengthen social unity, bring prosperity in the state and move towards a bright future. He said that there is no place for intoxication in Devbhoomi. Everyone will have to come together to end the evil of drug addiction. Thousands of people gathered at Dhalpur ground to see the Rath Yatra. Let us tell you that Dussehra festival has been celebrated enthusiastically across the country on Saturday.
