By how many runs will India have to win the match to reach the semi-finals, what will be the equation in front of New Zealand?

New Delhi. The equation of the semi-finals of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup is changing with every match. Till now the curtain has not been lifted on who will be the four teams playing in the next round of the tournament. In the tournament of 10 teams, two groups of 5 teams each have been formed. 2-2 teams from both the groups will make it to the semi-finals. Australia's place in Group A is considered confirmed. There is a real competition between India and New Zealand for a place in the semi-finals. Pakistan is almost out of the race in Group A. West Indies, South Africa and England are in the race from Group B. Bangladesh and Scotland are out of the race for the semi-finals.

The Indian team has a direct fight for a place in the semi-finals against New Zealand, against whom the Indian team had started with a defeat in the ICC T20 Women's World Cup. It is almost impossible for Pakistan team to go to the next round. Australia has confirmed its place in the semi-finals by winning 3 consecutive matches. India and New Zealand have 4 points from 2 wins in 3 matches. Pakistan has 2 points from 1 win in 3 matches. A decision can be taken between India and New Zealand on the basis of net run rate.

What is the equation of semi-finals?
India has to play the last match against Australia while New Zealand team will play against Pakistan. It is necessary for both India and New Zealand to win their last league match. If India wins and New Zealand loses to Pakistan, it will be eliminated. If New Zealand wins the last match and India loses then it will be out. If both the teams lose the match then the decision will be based on net run rate. At present, New Zealand's net run rate is 0.282 while India's is 0.576.

ThatMatch has to be won by few runs
If India beats Australia in the last match and New Zealand also wins, then the difference in runs between the two will affect the net run rate. New Zealand is currently behind India in net run rate and if it wants to overtake India and go ahead, it will have to be 18 runs ahead of India. If India beats Australia by 10 runs, then New Zealand will have to beat Pakistan by 28 runs.
