Arab Finance: The Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Mahmoud Esmat, held a meeting with members of the committee charged with separating the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company from the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company, to discuss developments in the plan and the measures that have been taken in this regard, according to statement For the ministry.
The minister stressed that the step aims to pave the way for the private sector to pump new investments into the energy sector, especially renewable energy, while maintaining the stability and efficiency of the national electricity grid.
Dr. Mahmoud Esmat directed to expedite the executive steps for separation procedures between the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company and the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company, explaining that a number of scenarios were studied to complete the separation process and the best of them was chosen, which includes separating the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company and its role as a network operator and opening the way for the private sector and determining Clear, specific and comprehensive controls ensure the achievement of goals in light of state policy.
