The police chief said that Durga Puja is being celebrated in more than 32,000 pavilions across the country. Special security measures have been taken to ensure that this puja can be held peacefully. Around 200,000 Ansar members are deployed in worship halls across the country. 75 thousand members of the police force are directly engaged in the responsibility of security. Besides, armed forces are deployed across the country.
Md. Moinul Islam said, our national emergency service 999, control room is open round the clock. Whenever we get any news related to Puja immediate action is being taken. There are a handful of people who want to run errands.
He said, no one can get away with any incident. Whoever is guilty will be brought to justice.
