New Delhi. Double happiness came to the house of Indian cricket team's promising fast bowler Mohammad Siraj on the same day. Siraj first took charge of DSP in Telangana Police on Friday (11 October). After this, late in the night he was selected for the upcoming 3-match home test series against New Zealand. Siraj was rested after the Test series against Bangladesh. He is not a part of Team India in the T20 series against Bangladesh. The test series will be played between India and New Zealand from October 16. Siraj is not the first cricketer to become DSP in Indian Police. Before him, veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh, T20 World Cup 2027 victory hero Joginder Sharma and women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur are also included in this list.
30-year-old Mohammed Siraj has been awarded the post of DSP by the Telangana government for his contribution in the T20 World Cup 2024. Siraj played an important role in helping India win the T20 World Cup. Siraj will get a huge salary from the police job. According to media reports, the pay scale of DSP in Telangana Police ranges from Rs 58850 to Rs 137050. A few months ago, the Telangana Cabinet had also decided to give 600 square yards of land to Siraj to build a house in Hyderabad. The state government had taken this decision by amending the Telangana (Regulation of Appointments in Public Services and Rationalization of Staff Pattern and Pay Structure) Act, 1994 to facilitate appointments.

Joginder Singh has given T20 World Cup to India
The contribution of fast bowler Joginder Sharma in Indian cricket cannot be forgotten. Joginder made India the world champion for the first time in T20 by bowling brilliantly in the last over in the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup. Then India captured this trophy for the first time under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. In view of Joginder's historic performance against Pakistan in the final, he was made DSP in Haryana Police. He officially took over the post of DSP in Haryana Police in the year 2007. Presently Harbhajan is an MP in Rajya Sabha from Aam Aadmi Party. He has now left the police job. Bhajji played 103 Tests, 236 ODIs and 28 T-20 International matches for Team India. He took 417 wickets in Tests, while he has 269 wickets in his name in ODIs, while he has taken 25 wickets in T20. Harbhajan has been a part of the 2011 ODI World Cup winning Indian team.
