Personal Correspondent: Interior advisor of the interim government said that the Puja celebration is going on peacefully all over the country. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the law and order situation is better than before. Earlier, 2-3 crore rupees were given on Durga Puja. 4 crore has been given this year.
He said this after inspecting the overall law and order situation and exchanging autumn greetings on the occasion of Autumn Durga Puja in Sirajdikhan and Srinagar upazilas of Munshiganj on Saturday (September 12) afternoon.
Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that police, RAB, army, BDR, Ansar and other law and order forces have been adequately deployed throughout the country for the security of the puja.
Present at this time, Dhaka Range Police DIG Md. Awlad Hossain, Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Fatema Tul Jannat, Srinagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Yasin Munshi and Honorable President and General Secretary of Puja Udjaj Parishad, local public representatives and leaders of Puja Udjaj Parishad.
On this occasion, Hon'ble Home Advisor and Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction as the puja was conducted with due religious solemnity and in a festive atmosphere.
