An agreement has been reached regarding seat distribution in Mahavikas Aghadi for Maharashtra Assembly elections. Shiv Sena Uddhav leader Sanjay Raut said that opposition Mahavikas Aghadi allies have prepared the formula for sharing 210 seats out of 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. The alliance will announce the seats soon.
Sanjay Raut said that the meetings in Mahavikas Aghadi have ended. We met (NCP chief) Sharad Pawar on Thursday. Consensus has been reached on 210 seats. We will announce these seats. Our list is ready. Regarding BJP's victory in Haryana assembly elections, he said that the saffron party should introspect as to how it won. Raut said that Congress lost in Haryana by a margin of only 0.6 percent. The evidence given by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi regarding irregularities in EVMs should be seriously considered.
Sanjay Raut raised questions on increasing the honorarium of Madrasa teachers, said- Is this vote not Jihad?
Shiv Sena (Uddhav) leader Sanjay Raut targeted the Eknath Shinde government of Maharashtra. He asked whether the decision to increase the honorarium and salary of madrassa teachers is not vote jihad? He said that schemes like Mukhyamantri Ladki Behan Yojana or increasing the working capital of Maulana Azad Financial Corporation from Rs 700 crore to Rs 1,000 crore are being done keeping in mind the electoral arithmetic.
Raut said, aren't schemes like Girl Sister and salary hike of Madarsa teachers vote jihad? The salaries of those teaching children should be increased, but if we had done so, BJP people would have called it vote jihad. Congress leader Naseem Khan said that the step to increase the honorarium and salary of madrasa teachers has been taken keeping in mind the upcoming elections. He questioned why BJP is not taking action against its leaders who are threatening Muslims.
Hitting back, senior state BJP leader Kirit Somaiya said that the government has not increased the salaries of Uddhav Thackeray and Sanjay Raut. When it comes to health and education, the BJP's grand alliance government does not discriminate on the basis of religion.
