During the meeting, Zardari praised Turkey, calling it a true friend of Pakistan and a strong voice for the Muslim world. The two leaders expressed concern over the dire humanitarian situation in Palestine and Lebanon. President Zardari said that Turkey is on its way to becoming an economic power. He expressed his best wishes for the success and prosperity of the country.
President Zardari also met with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. During this, he recalled his previous meetings with the President's father Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and talked about the strong relations between the two countries. Zardari stressed the importance of further strengthening mutual relations and increasing exchanges between the two countries.
