No one is bigger than the team… After the clean sweep of Bangladesh, Suryakumar said – I want selfless players in my team.


New Delhi. Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav says that no one is bigger than the team and he wants to include selfless players in his team. With the help of Sanju Samson's first T20 International century in the opening, India won the last T20 against Bangladesh by 133 runs and won the series 3-0. India won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 297 runs for 6 wickets, which was its highest score in this format. In reply, Bangladesh team could only score 164 runs for 7 wickets.

After winning the Hyderabad T20 match, Suryakumar Yadav said, 'We have achieved a lot as a team. I want selfless cricketers. We want to enjoy each other's success. No one is bigger than the team. Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 75 runs in 35 balls which included eight fours and five sixes. He along with centurion Sanju Samson made a partnership of 173 runs for the second wicket.

'We have to be very flexible'
According to Suryakumar Yadav, 'We have to be very flexible. All players will have to contribute. The way our players have performed in this series is commendable. I would like the team players to continue performing like this in future also. Sanju Samson scored 111 runs in just 47 balls with the help of 11 fours and eight sixes, which is the second fastest T20 century by an Indian after Rohit Sharma (35 balls).

The record of highest team score in T20 cricket is in the name of Nepal which had scored 314 runs. Earlier, India's highest score in T20 cricket was 260 runs for 5 wickets which was made against Sri Lanka in Indore in 2017.
