Jammu Kashmir Migrant Pandits: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said on Saturday, October 12 that his party and he were waiting for the return home of Kashmiri Pandits who were forced out of their homes during the exodus in the early 1990s.
When a media person asked a question about Kashmiri Pandits, Abdullah said, “I hope that our brothers and sisters, who had left here, will come back and settle in their homes. Now the time has come that they will return to their homes.” Return. We think not only about Kashmiri Pandits, but also about the people of Jammu.”
'Do not discriminate between Hindus and Muslims'
Farooq Abdullah said that his party does not discriminate between Hindus and Muslims and looks at everyone equally. “There is room for everyone in Kashmir.” Farooq Abdullah also clarified that National Conference is not the enemy of Kashmiri Pandits. He said that the Pandits should come back to Kashmir and take care of their homes and they will be welcomed with open hearts.
'Government will take steps for the return of Kashmiri Pandits'
Abdullah also said that his government will make all arrangements and initiatives for the return of Kashmiri Pandits. He said, “I feel that their return should have happened long ago. They should come back and live in their homes. We should welcome them properly, so that they also feel that the National Conference government is not their enemy. We are Indians and we want to take everyone along.”
The National Conference-Congress alliance staked claim to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, October 11. NC leader Omar Abdullah said that the alliance has achieved majority by winning 48 seats in the 90-seat assembly.
