UP News: Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh said in a program organized in Muzaffarpur on Friday that if all the Muslims had been sent to Pakistan at the time of independence, then love jihad would not be happening in the country today. Congress leader Danish Ali has hit back at this statement of the Union Minister. He has said that India is not the legacy of Giriraj Singh.
While speaking, the Congress leader said, “This country is not the inheritance of Giriraj Singh. Our ancestors sacrificed their lives to liberate this country from the British. I condemn in the strongest terms such absurd statement by a Minister in the Government of India. This country is Gandhi's country. Ours is a country of mixed culture. Our elders had the option to go to a country built on religious lines or to live in a country with a mixed culture.”
The former MP said that our ancestors decided that they would like to live in India. He would like to live in a country where people of all cultures live together. We have ruined the country which was built on the basis of religion. He should feel ashamed for saying such a thing. They just spew venom day and night.
