Amidst the ongoing fighting in the Middle East, a major cyber attack took place on Iran on Saturday. According to reports, many important information has been stolen in this cyber attack on Iran's government and nuclear facilities. All three branches of the government have been targeted in this attack. There is no information about when this cyber attack happened and who carried it out. It is noteworthy that on October 1, Iran had bombarded Israel with missiles. Since then Israel has been enraged and has vowed to take revenge. Recently, the Israeli Prime Minister had also held a meeting in this regard, in which the issue of targeting Iran's nuclear sites was discussed.

Iran International quoted Firozabadi, former secretary of Iran's Supreme Council of Cybersecurity, as saying that there has been a major cyber attack on all three branches of Iran's government – the judiciary, legislature and executive branch. Information has been stolen from here on a large scale. He said that in this attack, along with nuclear bases, fuel distribution, municipal networks, transportation networks, ports and other networks have been targeted. These are part of a long list of different areas across the country that have been attacked.

These cyber attacks have taken place at a time when America has imposed several sanctions on Israel. These sanctions imposed on petroleum and petrochemical sectors have been imposed after Iranian missile attacks on Israel. This step of America is a continuation of the order in which it stops Iran from providing government assistance for missile programs.

Earlier, Iran had said that it is fully prepared to protect its sovereignty if its arch enemy Israel attacks. The Islamic Republic fired missiles at Israel on October 1 in retaliation for the killing of two of its close allies, Hamas leader Ismail Haniya and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, as well as an Iranian general.
