At the same time, some other countries including Italy have sought clarification from Israel regarding this incident. They say that this has not happened by mistake. Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said that Israel doing so is a war crime. At the same time, Spain's Foreign Minister said that he condemns the Israeli firing on the UN headquarters. The Irish Prime Minister has also expressed displeasure over this and said that any kind of firing on UN members is not acceptable and it should stop.
Meanwhile, US Vice President Kamala Harris has said that what is happening in Lebanon and Gaza should stop now. There is a need for ceasefire there. The U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, known as UNIFIL, issued a statement. In this statement, the UN has said that its bases and headquarters in Lebanon were targeted several times by the Israeli army. He has said that an Israeli tank has directly targeted our observation tower located in Nakora, Lebanon. Apart from this, Israeli soldiers also attacked near the bunker where the peacekeepers were hiding. During this, vehicles and communication systems were destroyed. It also said that Israeli drones were seen flying over the entrance of the bunker. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tejani said that two Indonesian UNIFIL workers were injured in the attack.
On the other hand, the Israeli army has admitted firing on the UN base in southern Lebanon. The statement issued by the army said that it had ordered the peacekeepers to stay in safe places. Later, the UN Peacekeeping Chief said that 300 peacekeepers stationed on the frontlines in southern Lebanon have temporarily moved to larger bases. At the same time, in view of the security situation in the area, there is a plan to remove another 200 peacekeepers also.

Later, after the war between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006, the United Nations took this mission further. In this, peacekeepers were allowed to patrol the buffer zone on the border.
