The country's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday virtually participated in the Army Commanders' Conference from Sukna Cantt, Darjeeling. During this, he praised the Indian Army for securing the country's borders, fighting terrorism and coming forward to help the citizens and administration in times of need. Enthusiastically inspiring the army commanders, the Defense Minister said that the Indian Army is the most trustworthy and inspiring organization of the country.
Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was going to Gangtok to attend the Army Commanders' Conference. But due to bad weather, their flight returned to Siliguri. After this, the Defense Minister addressed the army commanders virtually from Sukna Cantt of Darjeeling. He praised the contribution of every soldier in the defense of the country. Also honored the soldiers who made supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.
The Defense Minister said that the Indian Army helps on every issue. It helps in securing borders and fighting terrorism as well as assisting civil administration. He said that I have been attending the Army Commanders' Conference for more than five years. The armed forces and the entire country benefit from such discussions. He also appreciated the industrial and technological progress made in the army.
Regarding the global situation, the Defense Minister said that unconventional wars including hybrid wars are an integral part of future conflicts. Therefore, keep this in mind while planning armed forces strategy. Also keep learning continuously from current events. He said that the army's ability to deal with emergency situations is amazing.
He also appreciated the work of the Border Roads Organization for road communication on the western and northern borders despite the challenges. Also said that the progress of border road construction should continue. The Defense Minister said that he appreciated the excellent coordination between the CAPF/Police forces and the Army in dealing with the menace of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. The ongoing coordinated operations in Jammu and Kashmir are contributing to enhancing stability and peace in the region. This was also visible in the recently held elections.
The Defense Minister praised the Army for its high operational preparedness and capabilities. Also paid tribute to all the brave men who made supreme sacrifice in defense of the motherland. He complimented the Indian Army players for their significant contribution in enhancing national security through military diplomacy, enduring relations with foreign armies and their outstanding performance in the 2024 Olympic Games. At the same time, there was a comprehensive discussion in the conference on the current security scenarios, border situations and challenges faced by the current security system. Issues related to organizational restructuring, logistics, administration and human resource management were also raised in the conference.
