Stock Market BSE Sensex NSE Nifty Updates | 9th October Sensex opened with a rise of 319 points at 81,954: Nifty also gained 50 points, rise in all sectors of NSE including banking, auto.

Today i.e. on October 9, the Sensex opened with a gain of 319 points at the level of 81,954. Nifty also has a gain of 50 points, it is trading at the level of 25,060.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 29 are rising and 1 is declining. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 38 are rising and 12 are declining. All the sectoral indices of NSE are trading rapidly.

Domestic investors bought shares worth ₹7,000.68 crore

  • In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei is up by 0.62%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index is trading down by 3.01% and China's Shanghai Composite is down by 6.58%.
  • On October 8, America's Dow Jones rose 0.30% to 42,080 and Nasdaq rose 1.45% to 18,182. The S&P 500 also rose 0.97% to 5,751.
  • According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹5,729.60 crore on October 8. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹7,000.68 crore.

At the same time, BSE Small Cap rose 1,322 points and closed at the level of 55,439. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 were up and 11 were down. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 36 were up and 14 were down. The media sector had the highest increase of 3.11%.
