He also thinks that there will be no conflict between the two countries as a result of this. After the fall of Hasina's government, the relationship between Bangladesh and India has been strained. Several issues have created some tension between the two countries. Both the countries also said to take forward the relationship in view of mutual interests. Yunus also said how normal and balanced relations between the two countries are possible.

In an interview given to 'Pratham Alo' newspaper, Yunus said, 'The relationship between Bangladesh and India should be very close. It will be difficult for us to do without each other in various fields including economy, security, water. So in everything there should be good relations between the two countries. It should also be seen that there is no impression that someone is imposing something on someone.' Yunus also claimed that both countries need each other.

He said, 'We have to move forward with whatever is necessary for that.' Yunus also talked about strengthening India-Bangladesh relations and strengthening SAARC. Along with this, Yunus said that Bangladesh's biggest advantage is India and China. Yunus also thinks that Bangladesh will learn from these two countries and both countries will be their markets. He also said that they should continue with the relationship with the two countries.

Bangladesh 'will not become Afghanistan', Yunus' message to India

Incidentally, Bangladesh has developed a great economic relationship with China. Yunus said in the interview that Bangladesh wants to improve relations with China. He also asked to set up several Chinese industries in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is also thinking about bringing electricity from China.

Yunus also said that discussions will be held with Delhi to bring the transmission line through India. He also thinks that India will not have a conflict with China regarding bringing hydro-electricity or solar energy. Yunus also believes that the relationship between India and Pakistan can improve.
