According to the official related to the matter, the government is taking seriously all the suggestions related to the tourism industry and is moving towards including them in the budget. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in its suggestions sent to the Finance Ministry had demanded that the tourism sector be promoted. This creates a good amount of employment directly and indirectly.
As per their demand, the industry hopes that the government can include this sector in tax exemption schemes in return for providing services to foreign tourists like exporters. Recently, to promote tourism in the country, a luxury cruise of the longest journey through river route has also been started. In such a situation, the government can increase focus on this in the coming days and can also present a roadmap for the new infrastructure to be created.
