More than 70 people died in a gang war in the central area of the Caribbean country Haiti. The dead also included 10 women and 3 children. More than 50 people have been injured, out of which the condition of 16 people is critical.
The attack occurred at 3 a.m. Thursday in the town of Pont-Sonde, about 60 miles from the capital Port-au-Prince. 3,000 people left their homes to save their lives.
According to the United Nations, the attack was carried out by the Gran Grief gang. They also had a shootout with the police, in which two gang members were injured.
Gran Grief set fire to more than 45 houses and 34 vehicles, forcing people to flee their homes.
Actually, there are about 150 gangs in the country, which are fighting with each other for the control of the capital Port-au-Prince. Bloodshed on the streets has become common.
Haiti's Prime Minister Gary Conille condemned the attack on social media. He said;-
This crime committed against innocent women, men and children is an attack not only on the victims, but on Haiti as a whole.

Government said- the situation is very bad Haiti's Health Ministry said the security situation was extremely poor, making it difficult for people to get health services and other necessary assistance. Although efforts are being made to provide relief using United Nations resources, it has become extremely difficult to reach the area directly.
Government appealed for international assistance Regarding the situation in Haiti, many countries have pledged economic assistance along with security forces. But only around 400 soldiers have arrived so far, most of whom have come from Kenya.
Haiti's prime minister said last month that if the United Nations did not soon fulfill its promises, the situation could get out of control.
Violence is common in Haiti. There are 150 gangs here, which are fighting with each other.
In February, 4 thousand prisoners escaped from the prison, then emergency was imposed. In March this year, the Haitian government had imposed a state of emergency in the country for 72 hours. In fact, on February 29, members of the criminal gang present in the country had attacked many government institutions. They attacked the jail, after which 4 thousand prisoners escaped. Armed people carried out arson in many parts of the country. More than 50 people had died in the violence.
