A boat has capsized in Lake Kivu in the African country Congo. According to news agency AP, about 50 out of 100 passengers on the boat have died. There were more people on the boat than its capacity. Rescue workers have rescued 10 people and sent them to the hospital. The remaining passengers are being searched.
21 new co-districts inaugurated in Assam, the first state to do so
21 newly created co-districts in Assam were inaugurated by different ministers on Friday. The Assam government has created 39 new co-districts for administrative convenience. The remaining 18 will be inaugurated on Saturday. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will inaugurate Jalukabari co-district (which is also his assembly constituency) under Kamrup Metropolitan on Saturday.
Assam is the first state to establish co-districts. These will function as smaller administrative units below the district level. This has been done with the aim of delivering essential government services to the citizens on time, bringing governance at the grassroots level and streamlining citizen-centric services.

Work on new heritage park continues in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, construction of wall started
A new heritage park is being built at a cost of Rs 2.03 crore in Delhi Municipal Corporation Chandni Chowk area. Work has started on building a wall around the park, which is adjacent to Meena Bazaar, one of the oldest markets in Delhi. The construction work is part of the second phase of the Heritage Park development project at Chandni Chowk. Kamleshwar, the architect in-charge of the project, said that there will be ancient lattice designs on the wall. Like the previous park, a Mughal style Baradari will be built in the park. The park is spread over 6,582 square meters and is located opposite the Red Fort on the road leading from Netaji Subhash Marg to Jama Masjid.

An accused who killed a doctor in Delhi hospital arrested; Search for another continues
