The interim government in Bangladesh has not yet announced anything about when the elections will be held. However, the election will be held only after reforming the voter list and the Election Commission, said Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser to the government. He also said to form a commission for this work. But because the notification was not issued, the commission could not start working yet. Before forming this reform commission, Yunus is going to discuss with various political parties there. It is also known that this discussion will start from Saturday. However, it is not yet known whether Awami League will be called in that meeting or not.
The Awami League has welcomed the formation of the commission which has been called for reforms in various fields.

Sajib Wazed Joy, the son of former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, said that they also want to express their opinion on this. He also said that Awami League wants to compete in the next election. Joy claims that elections and reforms are not possible in Bangladesh without Awami League.

Before this, Yunus had a meeting with various political parties. However, the Awami League was not invited to that meeting. Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary of the chief adviser of the interim government of Bangladesh, said that Muhammad Yunus will discuss with the main political parties again from Saturday. There will also be several advisors.

The focus of these discussions will be to brief the political parties on the progress made in the work of the six reform commissions. Apart from this, the law and order situation of the country will also be discussed and the parties will be consulted, Shafiqul said. However, he could not say how long this discussion will last. He did not even say whether Awami League will be called this time or not.

Sheikh Hasina's government fell on August 5. After the formation of the interim government, there were two meetings of the advisory council with the representatives of the political parties. Yunus also announced the formation of 6 commissions to carry out reforms in various fields. It is also reported that Badiul Alam Majumder will serve as the head of Election Commission reform.

As per the announcement of the interim government, the commission was supposed to start its work from October 1. But the commission is not able to start the work officially as the notification has not been issued in this regard. The press secretary of Yunus expressed hope that this reform commission will be formed very quickly.
