Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel-winning economist and chief adviser to the interim Bangladesh government, admitted that there was 'planning and conspiracy' behind Hasina's ouster. He also revealed how this plan was made and who was behind it.
Incidentally, the movement started in July in Bangladesh with the quota reform in mind. Others also joined this movement of students. Because of this, Hasina was forced to resign from the post of Prime Minister on August 5. After the ouster, Hasina left the country and took 'refuge' in India.
So far many have claimed that there was a conspiracy behind Hasina's ouster. This time Yunus himself admitted that 'Hasina's ouster is planned'. He also said who was the 'mastermind' of the 'well-organized' protest aimed at ousting Hasina.
Yunus went to New York to attend the General Assembly of the United Nations. Meanwhile, he attended the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative. Yunus said there, 'Student revolution was not organized in Bangladesh. Rather, it was a carefully planned movement. It didn't come naturally.'
Yunus also paid respect to the movement of students in Bangladesh. The chief advisor of the interim government also commented that this student is 'creating a new version of Bangladesh'. He said that no one could say who was behind the protest. Only then did he reveal the name of the mastermind of that revolution. Yunus said that Mahfuz Alam has made a big contribution behind Hasina's ouster and leaving the country.
However, Mahfuz also claimed that he did not do that alone. He said, everyone there did that work together. He said, 'You can't understand anything by looking at him. But if you see his work and listen to his words, you will understand everything. He repeatedly denied leading her and said they all did it together. They rocked the entire country with their pledges, speeches and 'dedication'. What happened did not happen by accident. Everything has been done with great care.' Yunus also said that a new Bangladesh will be built because of the struggle of these students.
