7 October again a heavy blow on Israel, Hezbollah fired rockets throughout the night

Israel has been waging a continuous war in Gaza since the attacks on October 7 last year. Meanwhile, on the occasion of the one year anniversary of the Hamas attack, Hezbollah targeted Haifa, Israel's third largest city. On Monday, Hezbollah fired dozens of rockets at Israelis overnight. This attack took place at a time when there were fierce protests in the country against the war that started after the October 7 attack. This war that started in Gaza has now spread throughout West Asia and the fear of regional war has increased. There have also been reports of an explosion near Isfahan, Iran amid increasing tension in the region. “Less than an hour earlier on October 8, Hezbollah launched multiple projectile launches toward Israel,” the Israeli military said in a post on social media.

Iran-backed Hezbollah is an ally of the Palestinian militant group Hamas in Lebanon. Hezbollah said it hit a military base south of Haifa with 'Fadi 1' missiles and launched another attack on Tiberius, 65 km away. The Israeli Army has said that about 190 projectiles had entered Israeli territory on Monday. At least 12 people have been injured in these attacks. The Israeli military said the air force had been carrying out massive bombing raids on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, killing two Israeli soldiers. So far 11 Israeli soldiers have died in Lebanon.

Meanwhile nearly 2,000 Lebanese have been killed in Israeli attacks since Hezbollah began firing on Israel a year ago in solidarity with Hamas. On Monday, Israel carried out airstrikes within an hour on 120 targets in southern Lebanon, including Hezbollah's missile forces and its intelligence directorate. This operation is being conducted with the aim of damaging Hezbollah's control and firing capabilities.
