Muhammad Yunus, Bangladesh magistrate suspended for criticizing Yunus' 'erasing history' comment – taapsee tabassum urmi suspended for a controversial post against the bangladesh interim government

Quddus Afrad, Dhaka
Lalmonirhat Executive Magistrate Taapsee Tabassum Urmi has been temporarily suspended due to a 'controversial' post against the interim government of Bangladesh on Facebook. The process of taking departmental action against him has also started. Last Saturday, Taapsee wrote, 'Chief Adviser says reset button has been pushed. The past is erased. He deleted all the past history of the country by clicking the reset button. So easy! The countdown has begun for you, sir.'' According to sources, he was later transferred as 'Officer on Special Duty'. On this day came the news of dismissal. Responding to this government action, Taapsee said, 'If I was not in the administration, I would have said the same thing. I cannot be an anti-liberation force.' Sunday said, 'Let's go to work for that comment.' Of course, his post has been 'only me' since Sunday!

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus went to the United States of America to attend the United Nations conference a week ago. In an interview given to 'Voice of America' there, he claimed that the history of Bangladesh has been erased by 'pushing the reset button'.

Urmi severely criticized Yunus's comment and said, 'What does it mean to push the reset button? What does erasing the past mean? Our liberation war is settled fact. Father of our nation Bangabandhu. These are all settled facts. What does it mean to erase all the past by pushing the reset button? So I think, the power against the liberation war is now in the government.'

Urmi's claim is – 'I thought from a responsible place, I have to save my country. That's why I said what I can say. If I were not at this stage, I would have given the same post. I am speaking as a citizen of Bangladesh and a force for the liberation war. I am not speaking for any party.'

Meanwhile, Taapsee Tabassum Urmi's post is no longer visible on her wall since becoming OSD. In this regard, Urmi said, the post has been kept as 'only me'.
