The topic on which voters were most and clearly divided in the US elections is the Corona virus epidemic and President Donald Trump's response to it. The surprising thing is that Trump got a lot of support from the places where the epidemic is wreaking havoc out of control. An Associated Press analysis found that in 93 percent of the 376 counties with the highest number of cases per capita, the number of votes cast in Trump's favor was higher than in areas less affected by the virus. Is less than this.

The AP's analysis is limited to counties where election results have come in from at least 95 percent of the precincts. In this, all the counties are divided into six categories based on the rate of Covid-19 cases per 1,00,000 people. Polling also shows that while voters are divided over Republican Party candidate Trump and Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden, the same voters also have different opinions on whether the pandemic is under control or not.

According to AP's nationwide election-related survey 'Votecast', 36 percent of voters who voted for Trump believe that the epidemic has been completely or almost completely controlled. 47 percent voters believe that this has been controlled to some extent. Opinions of more than 110,000 voters were taken in this survey.

According to this survey, 82 percent of the voters who voted for Biden say that the epidemic is not under control at all. In Wisconsin, where the virus began wreaking havoc just before the election, 57 percent of voters say the pandemic is not under control. While in Washington, where the virus is now under control, 55 percent of voters agree with Wisconsin voters.
